History

TEAM YOSIDRAG is a coalition of sport compact car enthusiasts who have bonded together to promote, appreciate, and indulge in the growing sport of import car racing. As a team policy, we do not engage in any illegal street racing due to its many hazards to drivers, spectators, and innocent motorists. Speed kills if not handled and controlled properly. The price of a racers life or that of another at the hands of a careless or hapless driver is certainly immeasurable and non-negotiable.

TEAM YOSIDRAG participates regularly in various organized events ranging from sanctioned track meets to cultural expos. Our purpose serves not only the realm of car customizing, but the importance of cultural heritage. The team is comprised of a number of different nationalities including Asiatic, Hispanic, and Caucasian bloodlines. We are an equal opportunity organization with no tolerance for discrimination based on race, religion, or philosophy.

TEAM YOSIDRAG was established in the year 1996 by a small group of car enthusiasts, predominantly Filipinos, who had and still do, a smoking habit. In Tagalog, the national language of the Philippines, YOSI means cigarette, and these original members would smoke their cigarettes or YOSI while driving, racing, and cruising, thus YOSI-DRAG. As of 1997, the team has grown in size from 5 in the L.A. chapter and 2 in the Chino chapter, to 25 in L.A. and 76 in Chino.
